Surfactants (surface active agents) are known for their ability to reduce surface tension in a variety of media. Surface tension is measured by a scale of dynes /cm. Water has a very high surface tension of 72 dynes/cm. Each change in dynes/cm is very significant.

The Market At-Large

High-alkaline cleaning products typically used in the marketplace are caustic soda or caustic potash.

Acidic cleaning products typically use sulfuric, phosphoric, muriatic, nitric, or acetic acid as their main ingredient.

The products are then compounded with a variety of chelants, dispersants, scale inhibitors, emulsifiers, polymers, wetting agents, etc. to enhance the product’s performance.

Many of these products are not patented but are trade secrets.

Our patented technology reduces surface tension when combined with a variety of additive packages to clean below 20 dynes/cm.
